Residential Construction / Home Builder Career Opportunity

Division Estimator Objectives
- Develop and maintain plan take-offs utilizing BuilderTrend
- Field visits for takeoff validations
- Development and maintenance of job-cost budgets
- Analyze quantities and plan comparisons
- Read and thoroughly understand blueprints
- Estimate entire new plans and elevations, including all plan options
- Interact directly with vendors and suppliers during the bid / estimating process
- Interact directly with builders and suppliers on current conditions and all changes
- Maintain Community Feature Takeoffs
Division Estimator Requirements
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field; OR previous experience in estimating, home building, or drafting
- Must have an understanding of home construction
- Able to read and understand blueprints
- Moderate to advanced computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
- Experience with traditional home building estimating software and Autodesk Design Review
- Solid mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to process multiple activities simultaneously
- A self-starter with the ability to initiate and drive required activities
