We’re seeking a Branch Manager in Charlotte for a market leader in the erosion control industry, renowned across the Southeast for its extensive erosion control, specialty materials, forestry, and site clean-up/control services.

Branch Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead daily branch operations, wielding full accountability for profitability while collaborating closely with the sales team to boost revenue generation.
  • Direct and mentor a dynamic team of approximately 30+ Field Workers and 2 Area Managers, and 8+ crews, fostering operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and sustained growth.
  • Own the branch’s P&L performance, proactively making operational adjustments to exceed financial targets and strategic goals.
  • Champion and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, including HR policies, compensation structures, safety standards, and operational protocols, to cultivate a compliant and efficient work environment.
  • Cultivate and enhance relationships with local and state agencies, industry associations, developers, and potential clients to secure projects and promote positive public relations.
  • Collaborate with corporate teams to oversee the effective management of facilities, personnel, materials, equipment, and property, ensuring optimal resource allocation and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with the sales and accounting departments to guarantee the delivery of quality services on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Craft and execute strategic and tactical plans, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) for current and future success, and implementing actionable strategies to adapt to evolving business needs.

Branch Manager Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven background in Construction Services or experience in a subcontractor role, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the construction industry’s operational and logistical challenges.
  • A minimum of 6-10 years in a managerial capacity, showing a progressive track record of responsibility over financial performance and contributing to the overall success of the business.
  • Demonstrated business acumen with a strong capability to drive financial results, inspire team motivation, and achieve operational excellence.
  • Skilled in the identification, measurement, and management of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) critical for aligning business operations with strategic goals.
  • Outstanding communication abilities, both verbal and written, with the skill to convey complex concepts and strategies clearly and persuasively.
  • Exceptional skills in customer service, interpersonal relations, and presentations, able to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree coupled with direct experience in construction services, underscoring a formal education with practical industry expertise.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, enhancing communication with a diverse workforce and client base.
  • Experience navigating fast-paced, high turnover work environments, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
  • In-depth knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and safety compliance requirements, ensuring the highest standards of workplace safety and regulatory adherence.
