We are seeking an Architectural Senior Designer for a leading design firm that specializes in production homebuilding. Based in Atlanta, our client serves the design needs for 11 of the 20 largest builders across the nation. This senior level role will report to the CEO and lead a team of 8+ designers nationwide.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced designer with a leading national or regional homebuilder. We are seeking candidates with production homebuilding design and management experience. Relocation assistance and an excellent compensation package will be provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF ARCHITECTURAL SENIOR DESIGNER:
- AutoCAD 2018 design work with project level administrative duties for residential products
- Coordinate and review structural and mechanical drawings
- Permit and redline active plans in accordance with AIA Standards
- Coordinate approval of design and construction documents from design review committees to permit
- Provide CAD support for single-family detached and attached projects
- Oversee projects to ensure design intent
- Process management and development
QUALIFICATIONS OF ARCHITECTURAL SENIOR DESIGNER:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or 8 years equivalent experience in project management for architecture or residential construction
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Detail oriented with strong communication and organization skills
- Professional demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Versatility and a team player attitude; willingness to work outside of basic job parameters
