We are seeking a Division Estimator for a leading private homebuilder in the Atlanta market. Experience in the homebuilding industry is required and only local candidates will be considered.  The comp, the benefits, and the opportunity for personal and professional growth are very strong for this opportunity.
DIVISION ESTIMATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain plan take-offs utilizing MiTek products or NewStar
- Field visits for takeoff validations
- Development and maintenance of job-cost budgets
- Analyze quantities and plan comparisons
- Read and thoroughly understand blueprints
- Estimate entire new plans and elevations including all plan options
- Interact directly with vendors and suppliers during bid / estimating process
- Interact directly with builders and suppliers on current conditions and on all changes
- Maintain Community Feature Takeoffs
QUALIFICATIONS FOR DIVISION ESTIMATOR:
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field; OR previous experience in estimating, home building or drafting
- Must have an understanding of home construction
- Able to read and understand blueprints
- Moderate to advanced computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
- Experience with traditional homebuilding estimating software and Autodesk Design Review
- Solid mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to process multiple activities simultaneously
- A self-starter with the ability to initiate and drive required activities
