A fast-growing private homebuilder in Chicago is in search of a Client Manager. The Client Manager is the front person for the organization after the client is contracted and is the lynchpin in ensuring that homebuilding clients become raving fans. They undertake a wide variety of daily office project management and administrative tasks as they guide clients through our pre-construction preparation process and ensure that we are ready to start construction on their dream home.
An excellent Client Manager is an organized and competent professional with solid communication and decision-making skills with the ability to be self-directed and solve problems. Ideal candidates will be detail oriented, comfortable relating with people and able to carry out routine administrative duties while managing and balancing multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment.Â
The primary goal of this position is to deliver an exceptional client experience through the pre-construction services process specifically, and throughout the client’s engagement overall.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR HOMEBUILDING CLIENT MANAGER:
- Deliver an excellent customer experience and create raving fans
- Manage the design and selections phase of the project to prevent problems from happening and solve problems when they come up
- Utilize BuilderTrend to coordinate finishes and client interaction
- Work directly with clients, trade partners, material vendors, and internal staff
- Maintain files and records in BuilderTrend and Dropbox
- Assist in vendor and trade partner relationship management
- Train new hires with basic preliminary work information
- Keep office area clean and organized
- Continue to create, improve and follow systems and processes for all company operations
- Assist team members in other areas of the company in any function at any time
QUALIFICATIONS FOR HOMEBUILDING CLIENT MANAGER:
- Culture fit with the existing team
- Basic knowledge of residential construction and/or general project management
- Basic experience in customer service
- Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of office equipment (e.g. optical scanner, printers)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Reliable with patience and professionalism
- Ability to work full time with occasional weekend hours
